Formally trained from an early age, Brian went to Berkley in 1979 and studied under some the greatest jazz and fusion percussionists in the US.  He later toured with several of the Boston area bands and eventually settled down in Boston.  He returned to the Plattsburgh area in 1997 where he was rediscovered by Zip City.
